Marino's Lakeshore Auto Mall has offered the best in automotive sales since 1970

Serving Toronto's West End for over 40 years, Marino's Lakeshore Automall has continually evolved in order to offer customers the very latest in automotive brands, technology and service. Our impressively large dealership is currently home to four separate brands, Subaru, Honda, Hyundai and Land Rover, but initially started as a Fiat dealership in 1970.

"My dad started down here on Lakeshore in 1970, " says Lorenzo D'Alessandro, who, along with
his brother Marino Jr. and Uncle Oscar, now works side-by-side with his father Marino. "He had his own mechanical repair business in 1965, a garage at Bloor and Lansdowne, before he opened his first Fiat dealership."

Starting around the mid-70's Marino started adding other brands, the first of which was Subaru. At the time, the brand had no retail network in Eastern Canada, and the cars sold at Marino's had to be bought from an independent distributor in B.C. The Hyundai brand was added in 1983, and Marino was, in fact, the first dealer appointed in Ontario. "In 1983 Hyundai was just developing their dealer network," says D'Alessandro. "My dad visited the Hyundai booth at the Montreal autoshow, and that's where he got all their info and decided to invest in a Hyundai dealership." Marino added the Honda brand when he stepped in to fill the retail void left when the only existing Honda dealer in Etobicoke moved to Mississauga in 1987. The Land Rover line was added in 1996.

"I don't think it'd be a stretch to say having four distinct automotive brands under one roof is probably unique in all of Canada," says D'Alessandro. "He's a pioneer." All four brands at Marino's Lakeshore Automall each have their own unique showroom, as well as knowledgeable sales people who each specialize in one specific brand. Marino's Lakeshore Automall also offers four different parts and service departments, operated by a large team of factory-trained technicians and parts professionals who continually upgrade their credentials in order to be up-to-date with all the latest technology.

"A unique feature we have here for our Land Rover customers is an off-road demonstration course with a couple big hills, some slopes you can tilt the vehicle on - it just demonstrates all the impressive capabilities of Land Rover vehicles."

Marino's Lakeshore Automall is continuing to evolve in order to better serve the customer. It's all part of a long tradition of offering the surrounding community more than the average dealership. Marino's Lakeshore Automall has always been involved in the local community through sponsorships of minor hockey, baseball, and soccer teams in Etobicoke. The dealership is also proud of the community's diversity, and is happy to offer service in English, Portuguese, Mandarin, Cantonese, Italian, Korean, Tagalog, Farsi, Polish and Urdu.
